Today we like to share a Polar Loop 2 Review. This Polar activity tracker band is the second generation of this particular band and there are some features I’m sure you’ll find very interesting.
I know there are lots of activity trackers in the market but I decided to start this review because the first Polar Loop Activity Tracker was a very popular option. As the first one, this is a popular option between athletes and one of the most sold trackers in the market.
Polar Loop 2 Review
Let’s first take a look at the materials. It is made of silicon rubber and looks and fit very good. The presentation is a one-size-fits-all so you can adjust it very easy to your wrist. It is very stylish and nice, is elegant as you can see in the images.
One terrific advantage: it is waterproof.
This activity tracker will definitely make you move and at the same time, it will keep you motivated and will guide you towards better health and fitness so you will reach your daily activity goals.
This is the main idea of a smart tracker, right? Polar Loop 2 Activity Tracker definitely will add to your pursuit of your fitness goals.
The front has a very cool LED display for numbers and letters organized as red and white dots. It is light weight and comfortable to wear.
Among others, it shows daily activity, how many calories you burned, how may steps you took, and also monitors your sleep patterns, that we have been discussing previously, sleep is an important step in your fitness and health.
It also provides vibrating inactivity alerts so it will keep you moving and for extra motivation. This function is available in iOS and Android devices for now.
It is compatible with other Polar accessories like Polar H7 Bluetooth Smart heart rate sensor (sold separately) and it connects to the free Polar flow app and web service, where you can do lots of other options like synchronize your activity and workout details, then you can check your progress.
This wristband comes in 4 colors, black, white, pink and crystal.
In this video, you can watch a little bit more about it, but, keep reading, I’ll explore more capabilities:
How this works
So, let’s keep going with this Polar Loop 2 Review.
The wristband will let you know as soon as you reach your daily goals thanks to the internal built-in gyroscope which tracks your activity as long as you wear this.
As soon as you turned this on, you can read how many calories you burned, the steps you have taken and the time and how much you need to walk or job to reach the goals you set for the day.
During the night, it will check your sleep patterns, which is great.
This is a very cool feature because sensors in this smart wristband understand if you are doing an activity or not, I mean, if you are walking, running, jogging, doing something at home or office or sleeping.
With the software, you can get a nice graphical breakdown so at the beginning, you will realize how is your activity day, then, you can change it.
It is very easy to use.
Apps and Software
It works with iOS and Android devices, the problem with the last one is that it works with version 5.0 or later, just in case you have an old android smartphone. This could be a con on this Polar Loop 2 Review.
The app is called Polar Flow and you can track your data in the Polar website.
For the calories burn estimation, you will be asked for some input, obviously, because it depends on your age, height, weight, and gender, and you can program your goals. Based on that, it will calculate this estimation according to the steps or exercise you did during the day and how many are left to achieve your goal.
Beside you daily goals, you can set your weekly and monthly goals. You will see the percentage value and what is missing to the 100% accomplish. It will also come with suggestions.
Polar Loop 2 will help you find some time for fitness because it was designed to help with motivating feedback and individual guidance, that is why the tips is a very cool advantage.
Some of the features are:
- Personalized daily, weekly and monthly activity goal.
- It will guide you on how to stay on track and this increases motivation.
- This wristband also measures daily activity at five different intensity levels.
- As said before, it tracks your sleeping patterns and activity.
- Well integrated with smartphone notifications for iOS and Android.
- Very good apps and software application.
- Adjustable, lightweight, elegant, and soft silicone wristband.
The Polar Loop 2 Activity Tracker device is waterproof down to 20 meters so you’ll find it perfect for swimming if this is one of your exercises in your routine. Or just for bathing or running in the rain.
Note: the heart rate monitor won’t work on water.
One thing that I like is this smart device will notify you if you are sitting too long so it will encourage you to move and do some activity.
Some other specifications in this Polar Loop 2 Review are:
It is very accurate if you are measuring calories burned and heart rate (with the H7 Sensor). It is very fast on the synchronization with Polar Flow App.
The battery will last for 8 days of continuous use (from Polar web site), it is rechargeable and fully charged in about 2 hours.
… up to 8 days with 24/7 activity tracking and 1h/day training” – Polar
Polar Loop 2 Review Highlights
At the end of this post, you will read an extract of this device, this is what I am pointing:
Pros and cons:
It has the ability to distinguish walking from running or sleeping.
This has a very cool daily activity goal tracker based on your personal settings and it lets you know exactly how many calories you’ve burned. The information is based on your data: weight, height, age, gender and the intensity of physical activity.
The price will compensate from other devices and it is pretty fair.
It fits from newbies at fitness as high-performance athletes.
It will motivate you to “do something”, this motivating feedback is quite important and most of it, it will tell you how to reach it. This is the inactivity alert.
It is heart rate compatible with some devices, although if you don’t own a Heart Rate sensor you have to buy one compatible (Polar H7 Bluetooth Smart sensor); it will count calories burned even when your arms are stationary, as for example, indoor cycling. EnergyPointer is a feature that tells you if you are is burning fat or improving your fitness.
The Polar Flow App and Smartphone Notifications are a plus. It easily syncs your activity and you can check your smartphone for tracking progress throughout your day. The con is that only support Android devices using 5.0 version or later, it works fine with iOS devices.
It is a great design, it has a very cool LED display, it is easy to use, and it has a clock.
These are the main points to evaluate in this Polar Loop 2 Review.
